Give CETAG what is due them to call off strike – Nortsu-Kotoe tells gov’t

Peter Nortsu-Kotoe, Ranking Member of Parliament’s Education Committee, is urging the government to settle the overdue arbitration award for Colleges of Education Teachers Association of Ghana (CETAG) to end their strike.

Speaking on JoyNews' The Pulse, he stressed that immediate payment is crucial to resolving the impasse.

Despite Deputy Education Minister John Ntim Fordjour's appeal for CETAG to return to work, the association remains firm, demanding payment first.

Nortsu-Kotoe noted the Education Committee's previous efforts and plans to facilitate a meeting between the government and CETAG next week.

He also highlighted concerns about the strike's impact on students and the academic calendar.
