The man who broke away from the NDC in 1998 and returned in 2008 was addressing delegates of the NDC in Koforidua as part of efforts to canvass for votes ahead of the party's primaries on February, 23.
According to him, the denial of the founding principles by the party led to the loss of confidence of in both the party grassroots and independent voters.
“In 2016 voters said NDC did not have a good character so they should go back home (opposition) and correct their mistakes, if you keep doing the same thing over and over and expect to get a different result, you are deceiving yourself.”
Goosie Tanoh is among seven people who have been cleared by the party to compete for the position of a flagbearer.
He is expected to campaign in the Eastern Region in the next four days.
Comrade Tanoh has already visited and engaged with NDC delegates in other regions across the country.
The Eastern Region tour will afford the Goosie2020 campaign an opportunity to share with delegates their message of hope and a brighter future built around Grassroot & Community Empowerment, Support for Women, Youth and Farmers, Job Creation, Transparency, Accountability and Social Justice.
Mr. Tanoh has been in Accra after his tour of the Ashanti Region for the vetting and balloting processes leading up to the elections.
