Gov’t committed to addressing climate crisis – Former EPA boss

Former EPA Executive Director, Henry Kwabena Kokofu, has lauded President Akufo-Addo's climate legacy, citing achievements in climate action and sustainable development.

Kokofu highlighted Ghana's role in the Climate Vulnerable Forum and the V20 group under Akufo-Addo's leadership. He praises the Climate Prosperity Plan (CPP) and its potential for post-COVID economic recovery.

He emphasized the CPP's framework for transitioning to a climate-resilient economy and its role in attracting private capital. He sees opportunities in the climate economy for Ghana and Africa, particularly within the AfCFTA.

Kokofu anticipates Ghana's leadership in climate economy capacity building for AfCFTA's $3.3 trillion market.
