The Ministry of Lands and Natural Resources has denied claims that the Akufo-Addo-Bawumia administration is selling state lands to cronies.
Minister Samuel Abu Jinapor, in an August 14 press briefing, dismissed these allegations as surprising and baseless.
He clarified that disputed properties, including land at Cantonment and the W.E.B. DuBois Centre, were not sold under the current government.
Jinapor highlighted that the Cantonment land was sold in 2015 under a previous administration, questioning the motives behind the accusations.
He emphasized that the government is committed to protecting public lands and that the allegations are politically motivated.
