The government has pledged to inaugurate a 40-bed health facility in Suame, Ashanti region, by September.
This project is part of a 2020 initiative to construct 12 VAMED health facilities across various regions.
Health Minister Dr. Bernard Okoe Boye, after inspecting the site, noted that civil works are 95% complete and medical equipment installation is at 70%.
Despite delays due to financial issues, the contractor aims to finish by September.
Challenges such as poor road access, land disputes, and structural concerns have been identified, with the Minister promising to resolve these with relevant authorities.
