Govt’s NEIP initiative transforms entrepreneurship landscape in Ghana

President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo has praised the National Entrepreneurship and Innovation Programme (NEIP) for its significant impact on Ghana’s entrepreneurship landscape during the 3rd Applied Research Conference of Technical Universities in Sunyani.

Launched in 2017, NEIP supports start-ups through funding, training, and mentorship, helping 15,000 start-ups scale up and creating 103,871 jobs by the end of 2023.

The program has fostered economic growth, reduced youth unemployment, and positioned Ghana as a West African innovation hub.

President Akufo-Addo highlighted the government's broader efforts in promoting entrepreneurship, including substantial investments in education, STEM, and research.
