The government of Ghana is set to settle a judgment debt of GHC95 million to IT consultancy firm West Blue Consulting, following the termination of their contract.
From 2015 to 2020, West Blue provided technical and support services to the Ghana Revenue Authority (GRA).
After the contract was terminated, West Blue sued the government for an outstanding debt of GHC289 million.
The GHC95 million award was confirmed by GRA Commissioner General Julie Essiam during a public accounts committee meeting.
She noted that the debt would be paid in three installments, as the government cannot pay the full amount at once.
