Greenpeace Africa (GPAF) is launching a climate justice movement in Accra, uniting civil society groups, community leaders, and experts to tackle environmental issues in West Africa, such as overfishing, deforestation, and climate change.
The launch event will bring together 40 stakeholders to promote sustainable policies and practices. The collaboration aims to develop advocacy strategies to reform harmful environmental policies and transition to a sustainable future.
A press release and communication platform will be established, and a Memorandum of Understanding will outline agreed actions.
GPAF seeks to enhance partnerships and address the exploitation of the region's resources by foreign entities.
