Election Watch Ghana has filed an RTI request to the Electoral Commission, seeking details on the contracts for printing ballot papers and notices of polls.

The group wants information on the tender publication date, bidding companies, selection criteria, and records of meetings with political parties.

This request follows the EC’s announcement to start printing ballots on October 11.

The NDC has also expressed concerns and is set to meet the EC on October 10 to discuss the process.

Election Watch Ghana expects a response within 14 days or will appeal to the Information Commission.
