Herbert Krapa approved as Minister of State at Energy Ministry

Parliament has approved Herbert Krapa as the Minister of State-designate for the Energy Ministry.

His approval follows President Akufo-Addo's nomination after the current Energy Minister, Dr. Matthew Opoku Prempeh, was selected as the running mate for NPP flagbearer Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia.

The Majority Leader, Alexander Afenyo-Markin, had previously attempted to expedite Krapa's vetting, but the Minority blocked the move, arguing it was unnecessary since Dr. Prempeh was still in office.

Despite a walkout by the Minority, the Appointments Committee recommended and approved Krapa's appointment.
