The High Court of Ghana has granted an ex parte injunction in favor of the Professional Association of Psychiatric Nurses - Ghana (PAPNG), halting the implementation of a collective agreement negotiated by the Ghana Registered Nurses and Midwives Association (GRNMA).
The court ruled that GRNMA excluded PAPNG and other unions from the negotiation process, violating their rights and interests.
PAPNG hailed the decision as a triumph for psychiatric nurses, ensuring fairness and inclusivity in collective bargaining.
The injunction temporarily halts the agreement's implementation until a full hearing takes place.
