Hit and run driver flees after fatal accident on Kanda Highway

A motorist driving a Toyota V8 hit and killed a pedestrian on the Kanda Highway on Tuesday, October 8.

Eyewitness Shaibu Danjuma said the driver stopped briefly after the accident but then fled the scene.

The incident occurred around 8:30 pm, causing traffic congestion.

The unidentified victim’s body has been taken to a mortuary by the police.

Locals told Citi News that similar accidents often happen on this stretch due to the lack of streetlights.
