Housing Minister engages banks on National Homeownership Fund

Minister for Works and Housing, Kojo Oppong Nkrumah, engaged with local banks to review the pilot phase of the National Homeownership Fund (NHF), aiming to expand it to benefit both public and private sector workers.

The NHF pilot, in collaboration with three local banks, successfully underwrote local currency mortgages for public sector workers and provided construction finance to developers.

Emphasizing the importance of these partnerships, the Minister highlighted the NHF's goal of providing affordable housing.

The initiative aims to address Ghana's housing deficit by offering affordable mortgages, improving living conditions, and promoting economic stability. He called for continued collaboration to achieve widespread homeownership.
