When the coronavirus hit in 2020, many private sector players stepped in to support the government's efforts to fight the pandemic. One of them was fashion designer and Chief Executive of CDM Fashion Couture, Cecil Dudley Mends.

He specializes in wedding and academic gowns, modern tailored suits, corporate apparel, and African wear.

The 2017 Ghana Peace Awards' Best Fashion Designer led his employees in a campaign to diversify into the production of face masks to aid prevention. Cecil's Accra-based clothing line has an enviable track record of providing fashion designing services to government and corporate institutions, schools of higher learning, churches, and the like.

In this regard, Mr. Mends joins a long list of Ghanaian businesses contributing their quota in these trying times. The story of Cecil Dudley Mends serves as an uplifting reminder to us all that anything is possible with hard work and dedication. Cecil, born on February 15, 1975 in Winneba, Ghana, is a testament to what is possible through diligent effort and commitment.

After completing his educational journey from Winneba Secondary School to Yilo Krobo Secondary Commercial School to earning his degree from the University of London, Cecil has held numerous positions in Zoomlion, Japan Motors and The Multimedia Group.
