David Osafo Adonteng, Acting Director General of the National Road Safety Authority (NRSA), stated that over 90% of road crashes in Ghana result from human behavior, primarily reckless driving.
He identified speeding as the most critical issue, urging drivers to adhere to speed limits—100 km/h on highways and lower in urban areas.
Adonteng expressed frustration at the ongoing disregard for road safety laws, despite drivers being educated about them.
He humorously cautioned reckless drivers that if they want to "fly," they should register with the Civil Aviation Authority, not risk lives on the road.
