Humanity is the new standard of leadership - Edwin Amoako

FanMilk's Commercial Director, Edwin Amoako, has stated that Humanity, Teamwork, and Grit are the new pillars of good leadership in a COVID world.

According to Mr. Amoako, the best leaders in these uncertain times are the ones who truly value human beings, who understand the limits of their own humanity, and are able to inspire others to greatness.

Mr. Amoako was speaking on the JoyNews TV program, Meet Your Mentor, where he reflected on his life and career, "humanity is very key, you need to do unto others as you want them to do unto you. But there's a higher level of humanity that comes out when you become a leader."

A well-known name in the fast-moving consumer goods industry, Edwin is a charismatic leader, who uses a human-centered style to rally people to achieve results. Edwin's extraordinary story, his charisma, and his unique personal mission to spread joy and happiness leaves everyone he meets feeling better.

Edwin started his career as a warehouse officer at Parry & Co Ltd and moved into marketing in the same company, before joining Nestle CWA Ltd. After some time he ventured into Telecoms where he led the Brand communication team that launched Surfline 4G LTE and returned to Nestle Gh. Ltd.

In 2018, Edwin joined Fanmilk as Head of Marketing, where he built an effective marketing team, introduced several successful innovations, and in 2020, he won the coveted CIMG Marketing Practitioner of the year award. In late 2020, he was promoted to the role of Commercial Director to inspire change and hope within the COVID-19 era. In just a year Edwin is credited with organizing the sales structure and positioning the team for success in 2021.
