A 45-year-old hunter, Kwabena Bronya, met his untimely death after his brother mistakenly shot him while on their way to hunt in Okyerekrom forest near Nyinahin in the Atwima Mponua District in the Ashanti Region.

The deceased and the suspected killer known as Kwadwo Nkrumah
both lived at Nzema-Nkwanta near Bibiani in the Bibiani Anhwiaso Bekwai Municipal in the Western North Region of Ghana.

Information gathered by Angel FM reporter Kofi Gyabaah prof of Adehyie FM indicated that on their way to hunt in the forest, the deceased, who had an already loaded gun, decided to give it to his brother to hold it for him while he attended to nature's call.

Kwadwo Nkrumah, however, unintentionally pulled the trigger and shot Kwabena Bronya to death.

After the unfortunate incident, Kwadwo Nkrumah and an unknown Good Samaritan rushed his brother, who was bleeding profusely, to the Bibiani Government Hospital, where he was pronounced dead on arrival.

Meanwhile, the suspect, Kwadwo Nkrumah, has since been handed over to the Nyinahin police to assist investigations whilst the body of the deceased has been deposited at Bibiani mortuary for autopsy.
