Hwidiem Chiefs to demonstrate over abandoned roads

The Chiefs of Hwidiem in Asutifi South District and Kenyasi Number 1 and 2 in the Ahafo Region have given an ultimatum to the government, demanding that the contractor working on the Hwidiem-Kenyasi road resume work immediately.

During a press conference in Kenyasi, they warned that if the contractor, Kofi Job, does not resume work, they will organize a demonstration against the government on August 6, 2024.

The Chiefs expressed frustration over the deteriorating road and its impact on their communities, emphasizing that their patience is running thin.

They urged all citizens to join the planned demonstration to pressure the government into taking concrete steps to fix the roads.
