Maxwell Kofi Jumah, Managing Director of GIHOC Distilleries Limited, has warned employees against joining the Organised Labour strike set for October 10 regarding the galamsey crisis.
He stated that any staff who participates will be dismissed, emphasizing that the strike is based on national issues that do not directly affect GIHOC.
While some unions support the strike, others oppose it due to a lack of consultation.
The Ghana Medical Association stands in solidarity but urges its members to continue providing services. Jumah insisted that employees should prioritize their responsibilities at GIHOC over the strike.
