Joseph Osei-Owusu, the First Deputy Speaker of Parliament, has voiced strong disappointment in the 8th Parliament's performance, describing it as unfocused and contentious.
In an interview with Citi News, he criticized the lack of legislative progress, noting that fewer laws have been passed compared to previous sessions.
He expressed concern over the House being sidetracked by unproductive disputes instead of focusing on its core duty of lawmaking.
Osei-Owusu stated, "We have wasted so much time on inconsequential matters," highlighting the need for the Parliament to prioritize its legislative responsibilities.
