‘I’m not surprised about Ofosu Ampofo’s secret tape’ – Former NDC MCE

A communication team member of the opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC) in the Ashanti Region, Akwasi Agyaman Boadi says he is not surprised that, the party’s national chairman, Samuel Ofosu Ampofo has been caught on tape inciting the party against key personalities in the country, MyNewsGh.com reports

“This is not my first time hearing a politician secretly recorded and played back by some people from other party”, Mr. Akwasi Agyaman Boadi said.

According to the former Municipal Chief Executive (MCE) for Obuasi, if a whole Director General of Police Criminal Investigations Department (CID) boss, Maame Tiwaa Addo Danquah herself is secretly recorded by unknown elements, it is possible same can be done to anyone.

“If a whole CID boss voice is recorded and doctored, who is Ofosu Ampofo. …he can just be recorded and be doctored” the former appointee spoke on Kumasi-based Nhyira FM morning show monitored by MyNewsGh.com correspondent.

Mr Ofosu Ampofo himself has explained that the governing New Patriotic Party (NPP) has sleepless nights because he is the chairman of a party that is giving them a run for their cash and poised to snatch power in 2020.

Speaking to party supporters after a victory health walk in Accra on Saturday, he said “I want to assure you that the NDC Chairman has not run away from anybody.

When we finish thanking God on Sunday, on Monday, our lawyers have informed the CID that the National Chairman of the NDC will come to the CID headquarters to answer any questions that they want. By eight O’clock, we are there and, so, I want to assure them that the peaceful Chairman, the peaceful party will respond to their call even though they first invited us through WhatsApp”.
