A former executive director of the Standard Chartered Bank Alex Mould says he is ready to serve in any capacity assigned to him by former President John Mahama as the party prepares for the 2020 elections.
Mr. Mould who has been tipped for the Mahama running mate position told Bola Ray on Starr Chat that the decision as to who partners the NDC candidate is a preserve of the flagabearer and the party executives.
” If I’m approached by Mr. Mahama and the party executives to serve in any capacity I will take it. And I believe I bring a set of skills and experience because of my experience especially in leadership,” he said.
Earlier, Mr Mould had dismissed media reports that he had turned down the running mate offer from Mr. Mahama.
“I wish to state for the record that I have NOT been approached by the NDC flagbearer for the 2020 Presidential election to play any such role. I could therefore not have turned down an offer that has not been made to me.
“I am however working very hard to ensure that John Dramani Mahama and the NDC, the party that I love and which I have loyally served since I left the public service, win the 2020 Presidential and Parliamentary elections.
That being said, let’s bear in mind the choice of running mate shall be decided by H.E John Dramani Mahama in accordance with National Democratic Congress’s constitution,” he wrote on Facebook.
