Gospel musician Cwesi Oteng urged intensified measures to combat illegal mining (galamsey) during an interview on Joy FM.

He expressed concern over the lack of apprehension for illegal miners and hopes military efforts to clear mining sites will be consistent.

The government plans additional military support and stronger legal action against illegal mining.
