IGP leaked tape report ready for presentation – C’ttee to Speaker

James Agalga, Ranking Member of the Committee on Defence and Interior, has urged the Speaker of Parliament to expedite the presentation of the Special Ad-hoc committee's report on the leaked tape involving senior police officers plotting against the Inspector-General of Police.

Agalga emphasized that the delay has fueled unhealthy speculations.

The report, ready for presentation, was initially scheduled before the recess.

He called for its urgent consideration starting next Tuesday to address public interest concerns. The committee, led by MP Samuel Atta Akyea, investigated the leaked audio involving the officers and former NPP Northern Regional Chairman Chief Bugri Naabu.
