The IMF will hold a Board Meeting on June 28, 2024, to review Ghana's second programme and potentially approve $360 million for the country.
According to Joy Business, the Board will assess Ghana's progress in meeting the IMF programme's targets and, if satisfied, will approve the funds, which would be credited to the Bank of Ghana within two days.
The meeting follows a formal request from the official creditor committee after Ghana agreed to restructure $5.4 billion in debt.
IMF officials have noted Ghana's strong performance under the programme, and the government remains optimistic about passing the review and securing the funds.
