Is Akufo-Addo no longer the ‘mother serpent of corruption’? – Asiedu Nketia asks Martin Amidu

NDC National Chairman Johnson Asiedu Nketia has expressed disappointment in former Special Prosecutor Martin Amidu, questioning his principles after Amidu's petition to President Akufo-Addo to remove Special Prosecutor Kissi Agyebeng.

On JoyNews' AM Show, Nketia said his faith in Amidu's integrity is "badly shaken."

Amidu's petition, dated April 30, 2024, alleged procurement breaches and other misconduct in the Office of the Special Prosecutor.

Nketia found it contradictory that Amidu, who once labeled the President as the "Mother serpent of corruption," would now seek his intervention. Nketia withheld support for either party pending further investigation.
