IMANI Africa's President Franklin Cudjoe has urged political party agents to ignore the Electoral Commission’s (EC) directive barring them from supervising the votes transfer exercise, citing mistrust in the EC's fairness.
Cudjoe criticized the EC's directive in a Facebook post, highlighting the EC's history of incompetence and dishonesty.
He argued that political parties must oversee the process to ensure integrity. The NDC also opposed the directive, fearing it could enable illegal voter transfers.
The EC claims the directive aims to prevent violence at its centers and assures that transferred voters' lists will be available to parties upon request.
