Judge orders transfer of 2nd accused in Kasoa ritual case to Nsawam Prison

The judge presiding over the Kasoa ritual case has ordered the transfer of second accused, Nicholas Kini, from police cells to Nsawam prison.

The 18-year-old has been in police custody since his arrest in 2021, and has been rotated across various police stations in Accra.

The investigator reported that Kini engages in fights with other inmates, and the Osu Police station refused to take him back.

The prosecution requested a trial warrant to move him to prison custody, which was granted by Justice Lydia Osei Marfo. Kini denied the allegations, and his lawyer requested a caution instead.
