The Judicial Service of Ghana has filed a lawsuit against the Attorney General, Lands Commission, and Frimps Oil Company Limited over encroachment on a piece of land and six bungalows opposite the American Embassy in Cantonments, Accra.

The land and bungalows, which served as residences for several justices, including Justice Yaw Appau and Justice Vida Akoto Bamfo, are claimed by the Judicial Service.

The suit seeks a declaration of lawful occupancy and asserts that any sale, lease, or disposal of the property is unconstitutional and unlawful.

Additionally, the Judicial Service demands general damages, costs, and a perpetual injunction to prevent further actions by the defendants.
