KATH Labour Union kicks against calls for CEO’s dismissal

The Komfo Anokye Teaching Hospital (KATH) Labour Unions have rejected a petition seeking the dismissal of CEO Prof. Otchere Addai-Mensah.

The petition, filed by former KATH legal counsel Kwame Adofo, accuses Prof. Addai-Mensah of financial impropriety and procurement violations, supported by claimed evidence of mismanagement and incompetence.

The unions, however, dismissed these allegations as baseless and inaccurate, praising Prof. Addai-Mensah’s achievements in improving clinical care, modernizing infrastructure, and enhancing employee welfare.

They expressed strong support for his leadership and commitment to the hospital’s development, affirming their solidarity with him and the hospital management.
