KNUST VC Prof Rita Akosua Dickson gets second term appointment

Professor Rita Akosua Dickson has been reappointed as Vice Chancellor of Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST) for a second term of two years, effective August 1, 2024.

Her first four-year term was due to expire on July 31, 2024. The University Council approved her reappointment based on a committee's recommendations.

Prof. Dickson, a phytochemist and KNUST's first female Vice Chancellor, has served in various roles, including Pro-Vice-Chancellor and Dean of the Faculty of Pharmacy.

Her research focused on bioactive natural products for managing communicable and non-communicable diseases.
