KNUST lecturer: Graduates leaving Ghana for better opportunities worrying

Professor Atinuke Olusola Adebanji of KNUST has voiced concerns over the increasing number of National Service Scheme (NSS) personnel leaving Ghana for better opportunities abroad.

Speaking at the Financial Economic Seminar 2024, she attributed this trend to the challenging business environment that hampers entrepreneurial ventures.

Professor Adebanji urged the government to create a supportive ecosystem for young entrepreneurs to thrive.

Responding, Deputy Finance Minister Dr. Stephen Amoah highlighted the influx of foreigners seeing potential in Ghana and encouraged the youth to stay and explore entrepreneurship as a pathway to national development.
