KNUST staff files another suit challenging vice-chancellor’s tenure extension

Isaac Mensah, a stores superintendent at KNUST, has filed a lawsuit against the extension of Vice-Chancellor Prof. Mrs. Akosua Dickson's tenure, citing "illegality and procedural impropriety."

Mensah argues that the extension undermines university statutes and excludes other qualified candidates.

The court will address this urgent matter as the extension is set to begin on August 1, 2024.

This legal action follows a recent suit by alumni challenging the vice-chancellor's reappointment, with the previous case set for hearing on July 30.
