The Korle Bu Teaching Hospital (KBTH) has recorded 31 safe delivery of babies including; a set of twins on Wednesday December 25.
Out of the 31 babies delivered at the two labour wards of the KBTH, 12 were males and 20 were females including; a set of twins who were born safely.
Madam Shareen Kyei Mensah, Senior Staff Midwife of the KBTH told the Ghana News Agency (GNA) that the first birth recorded on Christmas Day was at 0100 hours.
She advised expectant mothers to visit the pregnancy school and antenatal before delivery to know what to expect during labour and prepare adequately.
Madam Benita Juliana Lutterodt, Midwife on Duty at the KBTH also advised pregnant women to plan the number of children they would want to have and space them well by using the family planning methods, adding that attending antenatal is essential to promote safe delivery of babies.
