La youth to demonstrate against ‘looted lands’ today

The Coalition of La Associations and the GaDangme Coalition Against Land Injustice are set to demonstrate on Tuesday, July 30, against alleged unethical land seizures by political entities in Greater Accra.

Their primary concern is the Trade Fair land, including areas occupied by Labadi Beach and La Palm Royal Beach Hotels, where they claim original owners haven't been compensated.

Additionally, they are protesting the redevelopment plans for Prisons Service lands at Cantonments by a private developer.

In response, the Defence and Interior Committee of Parliament will visit the Ghana Prisons Service sites at Cantonments and Roman Ridge to address these concerns.
