In a tragic and controversial incident on May 26, 2024, the house of late legendary musician Mac Tontoh was demolished by land guards allegedly backed by officials from the Office of the President.

This incident is linked to another contentious event involving Ndego in April 2024.

He was implicated in a land dispute that led to the fatal shooting of Lance Corporal Michael Danso. Ndego had reportedly sold land in Millennium City to the deceased soldier, only for a dispute to arise when another claimant emerged.

During a confrontation, Benlord Ababio, notorious for his aggressive behavior, shot and killed Danso. Benlord, now in police custody, had previously threatened Ndego’s life and confronted soldiers over land issues.

The Dzorwulu demolition saw Ndego, Wiafe Addo, and a large group of land guards forcibly removing the niece of Mac Tontoh and seizing her phone to prevent her from contacting the police.

Despite prior arrests and bail of Wiafe Addo for related offenses, the demolition proceeded, with the land guards allegedly stealing valuable items from the house.

The police have yet to take significant action against the perpetrators, raising questions about the influence and protection they might have from the Office of the President.
