The Lands Ministry has denied North Tongu MP Samuel Okudzeto Ablakwa's claim that the government owes GH₵5.3 million in compensation to the Bulgarian Embassy for a 2017 demolition.
The Ministry clarified there is no such financial obligation, labeling Ablakwa's allegations as unfounded and misleading.
According to the Ministry, the compensation should be paid by Jojo Hagan, who ordered the demolition, not the government.
The Ministry emphasized adherence to legal and diplomatic protocols in handling foreign embassy grievances and reassured the public of its commitment to transparency and accuracy in diplomatic matters.
