The family of the murdered MP for Abuakwa North constituency JB Danquah Adu has served notice it may seek the expertise of Scotland Yard, the Metropolitan Police Service in Britain to investigate the death of the former Legistator as the family pursues justice.
The Bretuo and Acheampong families suspect there may be other accomplices involved in the murder who are yet to be identified.
The head of the family Bretuohene Baffuor Odiatua Acheampong II in an interview with Kasapa News, said they are unhappy with the delay in prosecuting the case and have given the prosecution a three-month ultimatum to arrive at a finality of the matter.
“When a pet dog is knocked down by a car and killed, the owner who cares so much about it comes for the body and sends it home. Why shouldn’t we be worried over the death of our respectable late son J.B Danquah who was murdered in his own house. We have not been happy with the way the state agencies are handling this matter. We are giving the government a three month ultimatum, after that you’ll hear from us.
“We have several options, we can come from Tafo to the Flagstaff House to demonstrate our anger, we could equally look at inviting Scotland Yard to investigate this matter for us. We don’t have to put out all there is in our arsenal now, when the time is up, you’ll hear from us. One full year should be enough to end this sad case. We want finality to be brought to this case, thoughts of J.B Danquah is always in our minds, we want to sleep as a family, that’s all we’re asking for. We’ll pursue this case to its logical conclusion.”
