Ghana’s former Ambassador to China, Horace Ankrah has called the bluff of Vice President Dr Mahamadu Bawumia.

He’s asked the vice president, who is head of the Government’s economic management team, to, as a matter of urgency, spare the people of Ghana the lousy achievements of the NPP he keeps touting, stressing that the NDC when in power performed better.

Since 2017, the vice president has come public with various list of achievements of the Akufo-Addo government. From over 100 in 2017, to his recent list of 85 achievements of the NPP Government albeit an afrobarometer report suggesting government’s approval rate is dwindling, yet the vice president appears not to be ending this trend anytime soon.

Speaking on Power FM’s afternoon political Show, Inside Politics, hosted by Mugabe Maase, the former diplomat wondered where the vice president gets his list of achievements from as the current hardship the country is faced with tells a different story.

Emphasizing on the continuing dwindling strength of the cedi, he quizzed Dr Bawumiah whether the economic fundamentals are weak as he portrayed in his various arguments in the run up to the 2016 elections. Ambassador Horace Ankrah could not fathom the continues “deceptive narrative” of the Vice President.

“Bawumia should match the schools, hospitals, clinics, markets, roads and water projects achieved by Mahama and spare Ghanaians these day to day administrative ‘bus stops’ he calls achievements,” Ambassador Ankrah added.

He however asked Ghanaians to pay particular attention to the deciet by the vice President and take a generational decision going into the 2020 elections by voting former President John Mahama as he had walked the talk during his tenure as president of Ghana.
