Dr. Kwame Asah-Asante, a Political Science lecturer at the University of Ghana, has called on Ghanaians to stop glorifying politicians who fail to deliver on their promises and to hold them accountable.
In an interview on Joy FM's Newsnight, he emphasized the importance of public engagement to scrutinize politicians' promises and to ensure that they are realistic and achievable.
Dr. Asah-Asante urged voters to be vigilant and to reject politicians who do not serve their interests, cautioning against supporting leaders based solely on tradition, ethnicity, or religion.
He stressed that it is the responsibility of the electorate to demand accountability from public officials.
