The Passport Office has noted a decrease in passport applications since the price increase on April 1, 2024.
Despite opposition, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Regional Integration clarified that the price adjustment is in line with regulations.
The Director of the Passport Office, Paul Cudjoe, acknowledged the slowdown but emphasized the need to bridge financial gaps for passport production.
He believes that fulfilling their mandate will address concerns about the price increase's impact on application rates.
