Zebila lawmaker Cletus Avoka argued that Members of Parliament (MPs) who defect from the political party that brought them to power should vacate their seat, as they betray their constituents' trust.
Speaking on Joy News' PM Express on October 15, Avoka emphasized that such actions violate the "sacred agreement" between MPs and voters.
He stated that MPs are elected based on their party's platform, and by switching allegiances, they abandon the mandate given by the electorate.
He urged for strict enforcement of the law, highlighting that MPs who cross the floor should no longer represent their constituents.
