Mahama apologises to Doromakese chiefs; curses revoked

John Mahama, flagbearer of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), has apologized to the chief and elders of Doromakese after a reported snub during a campaign tour in Bono East.

The traditional authorities had been angered by Mahama's failure to visit as promised and invoked curses.

Mahama sent a delegation to apologize, which the chiefs accepted, leading to the lifting of the curses.

Despite the incident, the Benkumhene noted there was no lasting animosity, recalling a previous positive engagement with Mahama.
