John Dramani Mahama, flagbearer of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), criticised the current government for causing economic hardship, leading to widespread despair among citizens.
During a lecture at the Christian Service University in Kumasi, Mahama addressed a debate comparing the value of a Dutch passport to a PhD in Ghana, attributing such discussions to a loss of confidence in the country's future due to economic struggles, corruption, and resource wastage.
He emphasised that the presidency should not be entrusted to those responsible for the current economic crisis, advocating for leadership focused on truth and accountability to sustain democracy.
