Information Minister Fatimatu Abubakar has criticized former President John Mahama, accusing him of endangering Ghana’s democracy with “reckless rhetoric.”
In an Asempa FM interview, she expressed concern over Mahama's statements, claiming they undermine state institutions and threaten stability before the 2024 elections.
Abubakar argued that Mahama’s comments on the Electoral Commission’s credibility lack evidence and could harm democracy.
She urged political leaders to prioritize national interests, uphold the rule of law, and support independent institutions to ensure free and fair elections, emphasizing that democracy must be respected above personal or political interests.
