NDC flagbearer John Dramani Mahama has pledged to reduce government size to no more than 60 ministers and deputy ministers if elected president, criticizing the current administration for economic mismanagement due to bloated appointments.
In a media conversation in Accra, he promised a lean, efficient, and corruption-free government. Mahama aims to launch a renewed fight against corruption, ensuring strict accountability and punishment for corrupt officials.
He also plans to establish an independent value-for-money office to scrutinize government procurements above $5 million, aiming to restore trust in public office and improve governance standards in Ghana.
