Mahama’s comeback unnecessary – Owusu Amankwah

The Manhyia North MP has ridiculed former President Mahama's decision to contest again The Manhyia North MP has ridiculed former President Mahama's decision to contest again

Member of Parliament for Manhyia North, Collins Owusu Amankwah says the second coming of former President Mahama as the flagbearer of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) is unnecessary.

Mr Amankwah asked rhetorical questions to buttress his point saying;

1. Is Mahama coming to continue the Gyeeda scandal?

2. Is he coming to pay dubious judgment debts to his political financiers?

3. Or is he coming to continue awarding 50% of Ghana’s bauxite concession to his brother and family members?

Speaking on Happy FM’s Epa Hoa Daben, he said Mahama return was like a vehicle Ghanaians wanted to board and it left them behind, thus there was no reason to board the vehicle for the second time.

He further explained that Mahama served as Vice President in the late Prof. Mills’ administration and subsequently as a President making eight years, “that makes it unfair to compare the achievements of President Nana Addo’s four years to Mahama’s eight years.”

He, however, said that notwithstanding Nana Addo’s record of political expediency, good governance and prudent economic policies puts him ahead of ex-President Mahama.
