Former President John Mahama has warned that anyone involved in an $800 million gas processing contract without parliamentary approval will be held accountable by a future National Democratic Congress (NDC) government.
Speaking during his tour of the Greater Accra Region, Mahama emphasized that the contract must be presented to Parliament to ensure transparency. He accused the current administration of bypassing proper legislative review and setting up a "wishy-washy" front company to avoid scrutiny.
The Minority in Parliament, led by John Jinapor, has also raised concerns, alleging undue pressure on Ghana Gas to sign the contract without proper oversight.
