Man allegedly kills stepdaughter at Sehwi Yamatwa

A man in his late forties, Josontey Kwame, has allegedly killed his stepdaughter, Mary Josontey, on his farm in Sehwi Kankakrom, Western North Region.

According to local resident Isaac Oduro, Mary was sent by her mother to deliver food to her father but did not return after several hours. When her father, Kwame Dagati, claimed Mary was working on the farm, suspicions arose.

A sibling later found Mary's body covered with leaves and blood on the farm.

After being accused, Dagati attempted suicide by ingesting a poisonous substance but survived. He is now under police custody and receiving treatment at Essam Hospital, while Mary's body has been taken to the mortuary.
