Massive flooding in Accra following Wednesday morning downpour

Heavy rainfall in Accra, Ghana, on Wednesday morning has resulted in widespread flooding, rendering major roads impassable and causing significant disruption to commuters and businesses.

The floodwaters have submerged key routes, including the road from the Airport to Shiashie and the Accra-Tema motorway, leading to massive gridlock.

Residents and commuters are urging the National Disaster Management Organisation (NADMO) to intervene promptly.
